12 Gms of heroin, one sharp edge weapon recovered

Jammu, Sep 24 Continuing it’s drive against drug menace and to eliminate the problem of substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved success by recovering 12 Gms of heroin from three drug peddlers during Naka checking at Punna Chowk Akhnoor. A naka was laid by police teams of PS Akhnoor whereby dedicated police teams of PS Akhnoor led by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Hilal Azhar rounded up three different suspects who were coming in a vehicle bearing temporary No. JK/TMP/2019/51935. On search, 12 Gms of heroin, one sharp edge weapon (Krich) and one Baseball bat was recovered from possession of suspects namely Anil Singh S/o Madan Singh R/o Hamirpur Sidhar Tehsil Khour Jammu Rahil Bhagat S/o Kasturi Lal R/o Bhagwati Nagar Near Yatri Niwas Tehsil Gol Gujral Jammu and Abhi Sharma S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Talab Tillo Near Sai Nath Mandir Tehsil Gol Gujral District Jammu. On this, a Case FIR No 248/2021 U/s 8/21/29 NDPS, 4/25 Indian Arms Act, 184 MV Act got registered at P/S Akhnoor and accused got arrested. The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial. Further investigation of the case is going on.
