Police nabbed 2 drug peddlers with 15 kg's of ganja like contraband

Kathua, Sep 24 In its decisive action against drug menace within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh R C Kotwal-JKPS today nabbed 02 drug peddlers with 15 Kilograms of Ganja like contraband, and arrested both the persons involved. On 23.09.2021 a police team led by Insp. Sumeet Sharma SHO PS Lakhanpur under the supervision of DySP DAR kathua Sh. Sukhdev Singh during naka /checking duty noticed two suspects who were directed to stop for checking.On thorough checking approx. 15 kilo grams of Ganja like contraband was recovered from the possession of two persons namely 1. Ravi S/o Suresh R/o Narwal Bye Pass Qasim Nagar Jammu 2. Rakhi W/o Surinder R/o Bari Shani Rajasthan A/P Sector 56 Chandigarh. Meanwhile all the recovered material seized and arrested both the persons involved. In Police action a case vide FIR No. 100/2021 U/S 8/20/ NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Lakhanpur and started further investigation into the case. General Public of the area appreciated the action of Kathua Police.
