'Should I take a loan?', asks MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, says state 'broke' amid pandemic

New Delhi, Sep 22 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing a gathering in Khandwa on Tuesday, said that the state is 'broke' amid the pandemic and asked, "Should I take a loan?" He further added, "There is no doubt that there is a shortage of funds amid the pandemic. I am also in trouble, but I have decided that, no matter what, I will ensure that every important project is completed, even if I have to take a loan." Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said that coronavirus is under control in Madhya Pradesh, adding that he will repay the loan when the situation gets better. While addressing the gathering, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said, "Congress members keep taunting us that we have taken a loan. So what? Should we leave our people hungry?" "All projects will be completed," he further assured. During his visit to Khandwa district, Shivraj Singh Chouhan also announced a slew of development projects, including two CM Rise schools, a hostel for tribal students, and providing tehsil status to Chaigao Makhan.
