NCC TRAINING CAMP CULMINATES AT NAGROTA

Jammu, Sep 22 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC has successfully completed its second consecutive Annual Training Camp on 22 Sep 2021 overcoming all the challenges. The camp was conducted at NCC camping ground Nagrota wef 14 Sep to 22 Sep 2021. 250 Senior Wing Cadets apart from ANOs and PI staff attended the camp. COVID-19 test of all attendees were carried out before camp. All the protocols related to COVID- 19 were strictly followed by all in the camp. The cadets were introduced to a regimental way of life. Special endeavour was made to give cadets maximum exposure to Range Drill, firing and specialised training with emphasis on community living, discipline, first aid, character and confidence building. Brig Satish Kumar, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ, Jammu visited the training camp and encouraged cadets to involve themselves in Nation building, Social Service and Community development. The govt has also opened new avenues for girls entry into Armed Forces. The Commander appreciated Girl Cadets interest and enthusiasm in learning military skills, keenness and participation in training activities during the camp. He thanked parents of cadets, Education Department and Institutions for support and confidence in camp conducting authorities.
