PG College organises conference on “Climate Change-Greatest Threat to Humanity”

Jammu, Sep 22 The Department of Chemistry and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Govt. PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, in collaboration with JK Science, Technology and Innovation Council, DST, Jammu organised a Virtual Two Days National Conference on “Climate Change- Greatest Threat to Humanity” under the patronage of Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal of the college. The first day of the programme started with the welcome address by Dr. Suresh Kumar Bhat, HOD, Department of Chemistry and Coordinator IQAC. Principal while speaking on the occasion congratulated- Department of Chemistry for organising this conference. Shruti Khanna, Assistant Director, JK Science, Technology and Innovation Council, DST Jammu also graced the occasion. In the second session, Guest speakers (Retd.) Prof. Sharwan K. Dewan, MD University, Rohtak and Prof. Anand K Rohilla All India Jet Heroes Memorial College, Rohtak delivered their talk on the subject. In the third session, plenary speakers, Prof. Ambica Kumari, GCW Gandhi Nagar and Prof. Anuradha Sharma, GDC Bhaderwah and three student speakers, Shivani, Sonali and Megha spoke on the topic. On the second day, Guest speakers Dr.Sajal Das, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling and Dr. Anil Kumar, All India Jat Heroes Memorial College, Rohtak, gave expert talk on the theme. Second session of the day began with presentations of plenary speakers Prof. Shrdha Anand, G.G.M Science College, Prof. Rabia Javed, GDC Boys, Udhampur and Prof. Malti, GCW Gandhi Nagar and student speakers Pooja, Ananya, Varnika, Nandita and Shazia.
