5.17 Gms of heroin and 2 kgs of Ganja recovered

Jammu, Sep 22 Continuing it’s drive against drug menace and to eliminate the problem of substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved success by recovering 5.17 Gms of heroin from one drug peddler coming from Panama Chowk towards Narwal on a vehicle bearing Registration No JK02CT/6448. Similarly on a a different naka 2 kg of Ganja was recovered from one drug peddler who was coming from Wave Mall towards Channi Rama. Two different nakas were laid by police teams of PP Narwal near Sabzi Mandi Gate Narwal and near Wave Mall whereby dedicated police teams of PP Narwal led by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspr Deepak Pathania assisted by PSI Sunil Singh of PP Narwal rounded up two different suspects. On search, 5.17 Gms of heroin was recovered from possession of suspect namely Ravi Kumar S/O Ram Dass R/O Bajalta Kupper Distt. Jammu and 2 Kgs of Ganja was recovered from Dinesh Kumar Jangde S/O Laxman Lal Jangde R/O Katapali, Chatisgarh A/O Malik Market, Narwal Jammu. On this, two different Cases FIR No 306/2021 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act and Case FIR No 308/21 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Bahu Fort and accused got arrested. The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar. Further investigation of the case is going on. Jammu police has started to work on backward linkages i.e from where exactly drugs had been procured and the forward linkages also i.e where the drugs were to be delivered. Intensive questioning is going on to know about his other accomplices in the crime. Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
