Bovine smuggling attempt foiled in a row; 9 more bovines rescued

Kathua, Sep 22 In continuation to thwart the consipiracies of Bovine Smugglers within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal -JKPS today foiled Bovine smuggling attempt in the JD of PS Rajbagh, rescued 09 more Bovines and seized 02 vehicles involved in the commission of aforesaid crime. On 21.09.2021 it was reliablely learnt that one Mahindra vehicle bearing Registration Number JK08D-4980 was enrouted from Kathua towards Jammu via link road Bhagwal Channi in which few Bovines were tied in illegal manner.Acting on the same Police team led by Insp. Amit Sangra SHO P/S Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Sachit Mahajan-JKPS laid a naka/checking duty at Bhagwal road. On seeing naka party driver of the vehicle parked the vehicle far behind the naka point and managed to fled away.During checking of aforesaid vehicle 05 Bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Thereafter Police team was able to rescue 05 Bovines and seized the vehicle involved.By taking this cognizance case FIR No. 189/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11PCA has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly. While in another instance, acting on reliable information that one more Mahindra vehicle without any registration number was coming from Kathua towards Jammu via Chawaki Morh Chadwal. Acting swiftly a police team led by IC PP Marheen during naka checking duty at Chawaki Morh Chadwal noticed said vehicle. Sensing danger driver of said vehicle parked the vehicle few meters away from naka point and managed to fled away from the spot by taking the advantage of darkness. During checking said police team was able to found 04 more Bovines which were tied with ropes in mercilessly manner.Thereafter all the 04 bovines were rescued and seized the vehicle involved. In police action another case vide FIR No. 190/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11PCA act has been registered at PS Rajbagh and further investigation is underway.
