Jammu, Sep 19 Sarv Shakti Sanstha extended full support to the Bandh Call given by Chamber of Commerce for 22nd September. Addressing media persons here today, Rajan Gupta, President Sarv Shakti Sanstha, J&K unit said that strongly criticized the ruthless policies of the J&K Government in allowing monopolisation of leftover businesses in Jammu Province. He said that introduction of Reliance Stores in Jammu will impact adverse impact on thousands of wholesalers as well as retailers affecting lakhs of family members. Gupta asked “how could the government allow takeover of markets that too only in Jammu Province without first providing for adequate safety nets for the existing players. The government seems to be cajoled into accepting the dictates of big businesses and other vested economic interests who have long been in hegemonic position in India in collusion with the bureaucracy and the mafia politician. After Liquor and Mining primarily, the next target is retail and wholesale including distribution. Rajan Gupta said firstly it was wine shop owners who got the jolt by the socalled new Excise policy and now the Liquor Bar owners are the next targets of the anti-Jammu administration. He said that the Banquet Halls are also facing the brunt of government baseless restriction on number of guests. Rajan Gupta appealed to the people of the Jammu region to come under a single platform to get their demands fulfilled and to awaken the government from deep slumber as it has been taking people of Jammu as for granted and paying full attention towards Kashmir which is unwarranted and will not be tolerated at any cost.
