Srikakulam, Sep 13 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday wrote to Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, requesting the help of the Centre to repatriate several distressed workers belonging to the state. Reddy brought to the MEA's notice that a sizable number of workers were being ill-treated by their employers in Bahrain, and said that the state would provide all feasible assistance to the Union Government in bringing them back. Several migrant workers hailing from Srikakulam have sent out SoS (Save our souls) messages via videos, where they have alleged harassment and ill-treatment by employers. These workers had gone to Bahrain through a company called, Nasser S. Al Hajri Corporation. However, currently they are allegedly suffering assaults by the company, and have complained of lack of food and facilities. The migrants have claimed that around 6,000 workers from India, including 2,000 from AP have sought help from the Indian government.
