Yogi govt trying to communalise polls: UP Congress chief Lallu' on ‘abba jaan' remark

Lucknow, Sep 13 Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Uttar Pradesh of attempting to communalise the upcoming assembly polls in the state. He attacked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his remark that “those saying ‘abba jaan’ used to get all the ration before 2017”. Taking a swipe at Yogi Adityanath, Ajay Kumar Lallu said the BJP government was trying to “communalise election” in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is likely to go to the assembly polls in February-March next year. Speaking to India Today TV, Ajay Kumar Lallu said, “Statements like abba jaan clearly show they [BJP government] have nothing to tell but communalise entire election.” Earlier, Yogi Adityanath addressing a public meeting in Kushinagar.
