The series “Shaheedo ko Naman, Empower the ‘Veer Naris’” has been started as an initiative by Young Bites not only to remember the martyrs of the nation but to convey a social message to the society to take care of the families of the martyr, to empower the ‘Veer Naris’. It is the responsibility of the Society to give moral support to the ‘Veer Naris’ and their children.

Er Abha Gupta/ Pooja Thakur Jammu, Aug 18 Jammu Kashmir Police is a force of brave soldiers who have sacrificed their life for the sake of nation. One such brave heart was ASI Harbans Lal Sharma who made a supreme sacrifice in 2004 in a Fidayeen attack at Ambphalla, Jammu. Youngbites Team got an opportunity to meet his wife Santosh Sharma. She is proud of her husband’s supreme sacrifice for the nation. While recalling old days she said that soon after her marriage, her husband got posted in many areas in J&K. Those days when militancy was at its peak in J&K, she used to worry a lot for her husband. Santosh says that Jammu Kashmir Police department has helped in every aspect. Her son Ravi got a job under SRO 43 and now he is working with J&K Police. Santosh is proud of supreme sacrifice of her husband and she is proud of J&K Police who is working day in and day out to protect its people.
