JKSC organizes Women Kabaddi match

Jammu July 20 A day and night Women’s Kabaddi Match was played between District Samba Sports Club Gurha Salathia and Sports Council Stadium Eleven Kabaddi Team at Indoor Sports Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu yesterday. The match was organized on the directions Nuzhat Gull Secretary, J&K Sports Council under the overall supervision of Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Chief Accounts Officer, J&K Sports Council and Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu. The match started at 06:30 PM and lasted for one and a half hours with both teams chipping in with their efforts to take the game home. All the sports enthusiasts hailed the grit of Sports Club District Samba and Gurha Salathia for giving tough fight to Sports Council Eleven Team which comprised of both International and National players. Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Raghav Langer, IAS was the Chief Guest on the Occasion. Dr langer appreciated the efforts of Secretary, J&K Sports Council and her team for organizing the match under flood lights and taking such initiative. He added that such initiatives give boost to the efforts of administration who are leaving no stone unturned for empowering the girls through the medium of Sports and Education first time in the UT J&K. Speaking on the occasion Anu Gupta, President J&K Kabaddi Association appreciated the admirable efforts of the J&K Sports Council team for initiative and was all praise for Nuzhat Gull, Secretary J&K Sports Council for provide the equal platform for the girl’s development. The concluding ceremony was marked with presentation of cash award of Rs. 10,000/- to both teams and a vote of thanks by Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu thanking all dignitaries, Media fraternity, Players and the public for granting their presence and making the Match a Grand Success.
