New Delhi, June 18 Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's wife Prithi Narayanan gave fans some good news from Southampton as she informed about the weather gods clearing up even as the wait continues for the toss at the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final. Rain and bad weather delayed the toss and wiped out the entire first session on Day 1 of the WTC Final between India and New Zealand at the Rose Bowl stadium. Ashwin's wife Prithi is keeping a keen eye on the proceedings from inside the stadium and even shared a video which shows an Indian player, possibly Ashwin himself, walking alongside the boundary line. The short clip also saw both of Ashwin's daughters cheering on from the stands. "Rain has stopped. Fans are happy. I can hear the dol and happy singing. And @ashwinravi99 is going to do what he needs to do - have lunch," Prithi captioned the post. It started raining in Southampton on Thursday afternoon and Friday's coin toss could not take place because of the drizzle which ensured the square remained under covers. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely to play spoilsport throughout the opening day. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has kept a reserve day for the WTC Final but it will only be utilised if the lost playing time due to rain or bad light cannot be recovered through the normal provisions for each day. So effectively, only if the time lost is greater than the time that can be made up like in a normal 5-day game, will the reserve day be used.
