Covid awareness drive by Indian army

Jammu, May 9 In times of raging pandemic when even remote areas of Poonch are not untouched, Poonch Brigade has come to relief of people at this remote and isolated village, part of which lies ahead of the AIOS fence. As rising cases of COVID-19 soar, the army organised a training seminar of volunteer youth on COVID-19 protocols. The aim of this drive was to create a node of trained youth to educate villagers about do's and dont's for effective check on the spread of the pandemic. Conducting interactive session at Pawa primary school, Army Medical Officer Capt Sadik Arman underlined necessity of timely vaccination and use of masks and hygiene with social distancing. The event also saw distribution of sanitization kit to villagers for the purpose of education and daily use, with due COVID-19 precautions in mind. Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Kasba village, Md Jamil and other community leaders expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for their empathy and initiative during these testing times, conveying appreciation on behalf of grateful people of Kirni and Kasba villages.
