New Delhi, May 5 Michael Slater, the former Australian cricketer, slammed his Prime Minister Scott Morrison for not making any arrangements to repatriate the people from the country stuck in Covid-ravaged India. "Blood on your hands PM," Slater had written while lambasting PM Morrison. Slater, who was part of the broadcast team for nowpostponed IPL 2021, was among the 36 Australians involved in The IPL 2021 after the departure of players Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson in between the tournament. The trio had pulled out anticipating ban on Indian flights to Australia. Subsequently, Australia indeed banned all direct passenger flights from India till May 15. Reports of jailing and fining people returning from India were also doing the rounds. The Australian PM reacted to Slater's 'blood on your hand' statement and called it absurd before clearing his stance on jailing the citizens returning from the Asian nation. “No, that’s obviously absurd,” PM Morrison told Nine Network, reacting to Slater's comment. “This is about getting more people home safely, preventing the third wave here in Australia. I think the likelihood of any of that (jail term for those not abiding by the travel ban) occurring is pretty much zero,” the Australian Prime Minister added. On Wednesday, Michael Slater slammed the Australian premier again. In fact, he suggested him to travel in his private jet and watch the dead bodies on the streets of India himself. Slater in his second tweet sent prayers and love for bereaved India. "Amazing to smoke out the PM on a matter that is a human crisis. The panic, the fear of every Australian in India is real!! How about you take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies on the street! "Above all my love and prayers to every Indian. You have been nothing but amazing to me every time I've been there. Please stay safe," Slater tweeted. CA chief Nick Hockley has revealed that the Australian players will fly to the Maldives or Sri Lanka.
