Director AHD Jammu visits field centers in Reasi & Udhampur district

YB News Jammu, Apr 21 Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, Ms. Vivek Sharma conducted an extensive tour of various field centers of District Reasi & District Udhampur to assess the working of the department and also to inspect the places earmarked for new construction/ repair and renovation works during the current year. During her visit, she inspected Veterinary Center Panthal and inspected the site for construction of boundary wall of the building. She also interacted with the concerned Sarpanch and advised him to persuade the farmers of the area to take benefit of the ongoing departmental schemes. She also directed the staff posted at Panthal to put in more efforts in this regard. En-route, She visited Sub- Centre Tikri & LDC Mand & enquired about the status of ongoing departmental programmes and their follow up. She visited village Salmeri & Krimchi and inspected the site for construction of veterinary buildings and also checked the working of VD Salmeri & LDC Krimchi. She visited to a private a private poultry unit established under CSS - National Livestock Mission at Mansar and advised the owner to stay in constant touch with the poultry wing of the department for obtaining maximum returns out of it. Later, she visited District Veterinary Hospital Udhampur and enquired about its routine working and availability of medicine and other allied facilities. A demand for creation of OT facility in the complex was raised by the doctors before her and she directed them to submit DPR on this account immediately. She also reviewed the working of DIO section in the campus. The Director also chaired a meeting of the staff members in the complex and advised them to remain punctual and popularize departmental programmes/ activities in the field through a safe and effective mode. Afterwards, she visited Poultry Hatchery complex Udhampur and LDC Ritti and discussed in detail the repair and renovation of work these buildings. Besides, Dr. D D Dogra, Deputy Director (poultry) other officers of the department also accompanied the Director during her visit to these places.
