India invited as a guest to G7 foreign ministers meet

As stated by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United Kingdom extended an invitation for India to participate as a guest country in the G7 Foreign and Development ministers meeting scheduled for the next month. This year the G7 meeting will be hosted by the UK, and it will be the first in-person meet in over two years, held in a 'COVID secure way', between the seven countries. "The Foreign Secretary has also invited India, Australia, the Republic of Korea, South Africa, and the Chair and Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), to join parts of this year's G7 Foreign and Development Ministers' meeting as guests,” the FCDO said. This year's G7 summit will be held between May 3 and May 5.
