Bhaderwah is emerging as good film shooting destination: CEO BDA

Y B News Katra, Apr 21 While speaking in an interaction programme organized by Hotel & Restaurent Association Katra (HRAK) for promotion of Bhaderwah wherein people associated with Tourism,hotels, travels, media and transport were also present, Chief Executive Officer Bhaderwah Development Authority Dr.Rajinder Khajuria said that Bhaderwah is emerging as a leading film ,television,web series shooting destination and latest in the series were the shootings of film Uri, Television serial Mata ki Chowki, web series Love & Peace, Aalingan, Fauda whose shootings had been done overhere or were recently in progress and Bhaderwah will emerge as a one of the leading Tourist destinations of India. He further said that topography of Bhaderwah in particular and Doda & Kishtwar district in general is best suitable for carrying adventure activities like White water rafting,Para gilding,Rock climbing,Zip lining,River Crossing,Snow & Dark forest trekking,fun skiing etc.He said soon as already announced the direct J&K State Road Transport Corporation bus service between Katra to Bhaderwah and back would be started and asked the stake holders for promoting it vigrously. Rakesh Wazir President HRAK while speaking on the occasion said that Katra- Patnitop-Bhaderwah can emerge as good Tourist Circuit and if we will remain successful in diverting just 10% of Vaishnodevi ji pilgrims to Bhaderwah the economy of whole Union Territory can increase many folds and can provide employment to lacs & lacs of people. He further emphasized for developing of facilities over there on Public (government)- Private partnership including making of Tenting accommodation, Rafting on the pattern of Reasi Chenab, Para gliding on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh,starting of ropeways at ideal places,making/ tieing up of hotels by renowned hotel chains of world so that Tourist visiting over there may love to stay overthere besides having their stay for atleast 3-4 days. Ambika Asstt. Director Tourism asked all the stake holders connected with Tourism for promotion of Bahderwah so that stay of yatries may increase over here in Union Territory. Shiv Kumar Sharma Former President HRAK said that people from media from all over India be invited over there and have their tour of Bhaderwah and places of Tourist intrest around so that people in India may be able to know the beauty of Bhaderwah. Virender Kesar Sr. Vice President & Ajay Kotwal Vice President HRAK said that need of the hour is this that we way improve the basic facilities of Bhaderwah including accommodation, food, Transport, roads etc. so that Tourists visiting over there may not get negative feed back and the number of Tourists may increase on daily basis. They even suggested for a FAM tour of the stake holders to have the realization of the things on spot so that they may popularize the destination more aggressively. Narayan Sharma President Taxi operators Union, President Vans Association Manohar Sharma, besides representatives from Banihal Route Bus Union and Karan Travels while speaking on the occasion requested for better accommodation and food facilities for drivers so that drivers instead of diverting and convincing the people for going to Himachal or other places may take them to Bhaderwah. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ali Jaffery Head Sales & Marketing Skyview Patnitop, Devender Purohit, Manhas, Amit Sharma, Ashish Sharma etc. Khajuria listened the stake holders patiently and assured that each and every point which pertains to him will be implemented shortly and the points which pertains to others will be taken up with the.
