DC inspects ongoing work of Oxygen Generation Plant at GMC Doda

Y B News Doda, Apr 20 Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Vikas Sharma today visited Government Medical College Doda to inspect the ongoing civil work of Oxygen generation plant, besides take review of the functioning of recently installed oxygen manifold system. It has been apprised to the DC that the civil work shall be completed within few days, besides the tender of cross over flyover for the supply of oxygen to the manifold has been opened today and shall be expedited. The DC directed the concerned authorities to work in double shifts and to complete the civil work by or before the 30th of April, besides he directed them to allot the work of cross over to the contractor immediately so that it shall be completed vis a vis the OGP. Meanwhile, the Executive Engineer Mechanical Department apprised the DC that the machinery for oxygen generation plant is on the way and shall reach to Doda within a week. He said it would be installed as soon as OGP hall was completed by the PWD department. Regarding establishment of 630 KVA Sub Station, it the DC was apprised the work has been re-tendered and it would be opened by 24th of April. The DC directed to expedite the progress as soon as the bid was opened and to ask the contractor to mobilise the resources immediately so that the purpose of the project shall met in letter and spirit. The DC said that it is a lifeline project keeping in view the Covid-19 scenario and it should be taken on priority basis for the safety and security of the patients. Among others accompanied the DC were Principal GMC Doda, CMO Doda, Executive Engineer PWD, Mechanical Department, MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda, AO GMC Doda besides other concerned.
