Kaith Biradari team visits holy places

Y B News Jammu, Apr 20 A Kaith Biradari team including men and women toured Utterbehni and Purmandal today to visit various holy places. While paying obeisance in Laxminarayan Temple in Utterbehni, R.L.Kaith who was leading the team members said, this is the oldest Hindu temple situated on the bank of legendary Devika. Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti, is also known as Narayan, when he is with his consort Lakshmi. The team after paying obeisance partook parshad from the lunger. Also, while paying obeisance in Lord Shiva temple in Purmandal Kaith said, it is 2500 years old temple and is famous because it is situated in Purmandal Village, which is believed to have been visited by Saint Kabir and Ustad Bismillah Khan. Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Guru Nanak were other famous historical personalities who visited this temple, Kaith added. Team members were Subedar Major Gunni Ram (Retd), Subedar Hans Raj (Retd), Havildar Bhupinder Singh (Retd), Ambu Ram, Chaman Lal, Raj Kumar, Bodh Raj, Jeet Raj and others.
