Lecture on how to join armed forces conducted

Jammu, Apr 19 Indian Army is one of the popular options for employment for the youth of Rajouri and Poonch region. Over the years, vacancies for Indian Army earmarked for the region have been oversubscribed thereby, making the possibilities of achieving successful recruitment during the rallies difficult. With this aim of finding best aspirants to join the Armed Forces, Army organised an awareness lecture on “How to Join Armed Forces” for the youth in Rajouri and Poonch District (J&K). The pre-recruitment session was conducted following all COVID-19 protocols and the youth was briefed in detail on How to Join Armed Force through various entry scheme i.e. NDA, OTA, IMA, SSC (Technical and Non Technical) and NCC as an officer as well as Soldier, Nursing Assistant, Clerks/ Store Keeper, Religious Teachers and Tradesman. The lecture also covered the emoluments and benefits provided to Army personnel during the service as well as the post retirement benefits. The representative from the Army went into the minutest details and patiently answered all queries of the over inquisitive students. The locals of the area applauded the efforts of the Army in organising such awareness lectures for benefit of local populace especially the youth.
