SHUBAM GUPTA Jammu, Apr 19 There are select number of people in this world who can brighten up a day with their presence because of a neverending smile, a positive attitude and the respect of those who have the pleasure to know them. One such person is Dr Zinnia, who is an entrepreneur. While talking to this correspondent she said that earlier she had a thought that so much has happened in her life both good and bad and had gave up all hopes after she was diagnosed with cancer. But later she developed a positive thought and decided to give a tough fight to the disease for the sake of her family who love her a lot. “With a proactive approach with a positive attitude and selfexams, there’s hope. Checkups and weekly examinations should not be taken lightly. If just one woman gets motivated by my story to take charge of her health, then it’s worth it” said Zinnia. “I agreed to share my story because women need to be reassured that you can survive cancer,” she added. “I will continue visits to doctor to ensure that cancer do not occur again. Reoccurrence of cancer is something serious and we have to ensure it does not occur again and again. We can do this with regular check-ups and by maintaining a healthy lifestyle”, she said. She further said that the support of her family has also played a key role in fighting the deadliest disease which claims thousands of lives globally every year. She has lost her hair in less than two weeks after beginning chemo treatments. Moreover, the whole experience had made her faith stronger than ever. She’s back to work now and her never-ending smile has returned.
