Y B News Jammu, Apr 19 Accusing Congress and National Conference (NC) of misleading people, creating fear amongst masses, not cooperating with the Government and criticising the Government over arrangements made during pandemic merely for the sake of criticising, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that such political parties have absolutely 'Zero' role in the fight against COVID-19 virus. Instead of mobilising masses to get vaccinated, asking them to follow government guidelines, adhere to norms laid down by disaster management committees or launching a collective fight against the pandemic, such political outfits are trying to create a fear psychosis amongst them. Raman Suri said, when it comes to fighting the pandemic, there is no choice but to stand together and adhere to all those measures that are needed to contain the virus and flatten the curve to help people get rid of this virus He said, right from day one when first case of COVID-19l was traced in India, all the states, UTs as well as central government have been putting in their best possible efforts to save lives. From imposition of lockdown to stopping of India bound flights, from excessive testing to adequate bed arrangements in hospitals, from helping people stuck overseas reach their homes to launching vaccination drives, the Government didits best. Today also, the Government is keeping a close watch on the pattern of spread of virus and simultaneously asking for closure of schools and colleges, ensuring that common people don't suffer due to lockdown, is making arrangements to increase testing and has increased vaccination drives. However, opposition parties like NC and Congress, instead of mobilising their own cadres and asking commoners to get vaccinated and follow COVID-19 protocols, are creating fear psychosis, which is highly condemnable. Raman Suri said, with their political stunts, these parties want to create chaos. The Government, he said, is sensitive towards people's issues and alive to the developing situation. He said, all the required arrangements are in place. Hospitals are well-equipped, doctors and paramedical staff is on tenterhooks and administration is taking all necessary precautions but the only thing missing is the cooperation from opposition parties, who instead are trying to add fuel to fire and do nothing to contain the virus and save lives. Opposition parties, he alleged, are insensitive to people’s concerns and their contribution for betterment of the situation is zero.
