Jose Mourinho sacked as Tottenham Hotspur manager

New Delhi, Apr 19 Tottenham Hostpur have sacked their manager Jose Mourinho after just 17 months in charge. The Portuguese had replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager in November 2019 and guided the club to sixth in the Premier League during his first season in charge. The Spurs are currently seventh on the Premier League table and have been winless in their last three league games. The side was knocked out of the Europa League by Croatian club Dinamo Zagrebin in March. Spurs face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on 25 April. In an official statement released by the club, it was revealed that club's former midfielder Ryan Mason will be in charge of the first team until further update. "The Club can today announce that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra have been relieved of their duties.
