Gambhir slams Eoin Morgan - Most ridiculous captaincy I have ever seen

Chennai, Apr 18 Former Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir was furious with current skipper Eoin Morgan's performance as the leader during Match 10 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday. Morgan gave mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy the second over of the match in which he picked the wickets of RCB skipper Virat Kohli (5) and Rajat Patidar (1) while giving away just 3 runs. But he was taken off the attack and did not come on to bowl before the 7th over. That is what irked Gambhir as he questioned the tactics of Morgan, who probably wanted to save Chakravarthy overs for AB de Villiers. "That is probably the worse, weird kind of captaincy I have ever seen in my life. Someone (Varun Chakravarthy) taking 2 wickets in his 1st over and then doesn't get to bowl the next over. You could have actually sealed the game in the first 6 overs. "Had Varun Chakravarthy got his 3rd wicket or had he got Glenn Maxwell out in the first 6 overs, this game would have been over there and then. I'm happy an Indian captain didn't make that blunder.
