NEGATIVE ROLE OF A NEIGHBOUR, JAISHANKAR AND AFGHAN NSA HINTS TOWARDS PAKISTAN

New Delhi, Apr 18 India's External Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar, and National Security Adviser of Afghanistan, Hamdullah Mohib, slammed Pakistan's role in peddling and backing the Taliban without any direct mention of its name. This development was a part of the Raisina Dialogue held virtually with the participation of numerous foreign dignitaries. Although there was no direct mention of Pakistan, the remarks and hints point towards the obvious. Referring to the 'negative role' of a 'neighbour', both sides criticised its involvement in an attempt to defer peace and development in Afghanistan. India's External Affairs Minister, Dr Jaishankar, has already emphasised the essence of peace in Afghanistan as it has a direct impact on India's national security concerns.
