DISHA meeting: Dr Jitendra reviews achievements under Central Schemes in district Kishtwar

Asks PRIs to play active role in participatory development

Jammu, Apr 18 Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitendra Singh today reviewed the progress achieved under different centrally sponsored schemes in district Kishtwar, at District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting held at Convention Centre. The meeting was attended by Chairperson, District Development Council Kishtwar, Pooja Thakur; Prashant Kumar Jha ; District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma; BDC Chairpersons, elected PRIs, nominated members of DISHA and senior officers of the district administration among others. At the outset, the DDC Kishtwar gave a detailed presentation on various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district. The BDC Chairpersons also raised issues of their respective blocks and sought the district administration’s cooperation in their resolution. Speaking at the meeting, the DDC Chairperson said that it would be her endeavour to deliver the benefits of centrally sponsored schemes to each and every deserving individual of the district and sought support from the district administration.
