The Prime Minister should now completely stop holding political programmes, rallies and roadshows," CM Ashok Gehlot said. ECI continued announcing elections simply to discharge its duty,” he wrote. Citing that strict measures are being imposed in several places, he urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish regular contact with chief ministers of states to be aware of the ground situation with regard to the Covid situation.
