Magotra to lead group of trekkers to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine

Jammu, April 16 Prof. Lalit Magotra, 76 years old founder member and now an Advisor of Tawi Trekkers J&K shall lead a group of about 15 trekkers for reconnaissance of Parikarma (circumambulation) route of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (Trikuta hills) beginning from 25th April, 2021. The two days trek from Katra to Katra via the villages of Tote, SukhalGhati and Jangle Gali involves only 15 kms of actual trek through some of the finest scenery of Trikuta hills. The group also includes 71 years old President of the club Ram Khajuria;59 years old Principal of Oriental Academy Sr.Sec. School, Jammu Vivek Chauhan:Director Agriculture (Law Enforcement) Bal Krishan Sharma; a sports journalist Sanjeev Sharma (48 years), Sumit Khajuria, ManikSlathia, Sushil Singh and Sonam Sidharth, Vice President, Jt. Secretary, Treasurer and an executive member of Mountaineering Association of J&K respectively and a host of other active members of the club including Sakshi Magotra (Assistant Secretary), Shilpa Charak&Arundeep Singh, both international sport Climbers; Shashi Kant&Souravdeep Singh, both trained mountaineers, Er. Rajiv Gupta&AshmikaThappa. It is pertinent to mention here that this trek is a part of the exhaustive reconnaissance being carried out by the club in the hitherto lesser known beauty spots especially heritage and pilgrim sights of Jammu in order to bring them on the tourism map of Jammu. During the last couple of months the club has organized a number of one day treks to Mohoregarh, Bhupnergarh, Dhergarh, Mansar.
