BJP holds meeting of its JMC Councillors

Y B News Jammu, Apr 07 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held meeting of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillors and paid tributes to Late Smt. Raj Rani at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul chaired the meeting which was also addressed by Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, JMC Dy. Mayor Purnima Sharma and party’s Chief whip in JMC Pramod Kapahi, which was attended by almost all the BJP Councillors from JMC. BJP leaders paid warm tributes to the Late Raj Rani Jamwal, the elected Councillor from Ward 45 while remembering her services to the party and society braving all odds in her entire life. They said that her sudden death has created a void in the socio-political area and prayed for the ‘Moksh’ to the heavenly bound soul. Party leaders also prayed to God for the Moksh to the heavenly bound soul of another JMC Councillor Vijay Choudhary on the occasion. Ashok Kaul, asked the JMC Councillors to work with exemplary honesty and dedication. He said that BJP is built on the strong organizational principles. He said that the present popularity of party is due to efforts that have been put by generations of dedicated workers. He prompted all to work for the extension of party principles and ideology in the public while working for the development of the region. He also provided details of the forthcoming party programmes to all the Councillors. Kavinder Gupta, asked the Councillors to act as responsible public representatives and keep working with dedication to strengthen the party. He asked them to work on ground in accordance to the wishes of general masses. He, while stressing on maintaining of discipline, said party discipline is cornerstone of BJP and key to success. He guided the Councillors on the issues of development and sanitation. Chander Mohan Gupta, in his address, said that a big responsibility lies on the heads of JMC Councillors. He said that Councillors have to work hard to fulfil the aspirations of the common masses. He assured the leadership that they will work with full dedication for the development of the city and bring a good name to the party. Purnima Sharma provided insight on various projects of JMC in the meeting and sought suggestions from all. She asked all to work as a family and with a positive approach towards the development of all the Wards under JMC.
