Army conducts lecture on women related health issues

Poonch, Apr 07 Indian Army conducted an awareness lecture on ‘Women related Health Issues’ at Nari Niketan Girls Hostel, Magnar in District Poonch (J&K). The aim of the lecture was to increase awareness amongst the women populace regarding importance of health and hygiene issues. The lady medical officer highlighted the importance of good health and its impact on one’s family, friends and community. During the awareness lecture, the audience was apprised about the importance of good habits like washing hands, drinking clean water, maintaining good personnel hygiene etc in order to stay healthy. They were also educated to inculcate healthy lifestyle such as having balanced diet, regular exercise, maintaining cleanliness good physical posture, getting adequate sleep and regular medical check-ups. They were also educated on preventive measures to be taken for vector borne disease like Corona, Dengue, Malaria, Hepatitis, Gum Recession and Cavities.
