Y B News Jammu, Apr 07 Girdhari Lal Raina, BJP Spokesperson and former MLC expressed pain and anguish over continued exclusion of a substantial section of population from various Health Care Scheme including Ayushman Bharat/SEHAT Scheme in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. World Health Day is being observed throughout the world today with focus on building a healthier and fairer world, he said. G.L. Raina asked how we can build a fairer world if a huge chunk of society is denied facilities to which they are entitled legally and constitutionally. Providing details about Displaced Community members who are not getting Golden Health Cards due to none of their faults, Ex-MLC underlined the need to include all eligible people into the scheme that has given new hope to millions of Indians thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Explaining the issue further, he said it is because of insensitivity of the officials that all those displaced families who do not figure in 2011 census register are being denied their fundamental rights. Census was carried out in these areas and the easy and logical solution, as was suggested to the authorities, is to refer the biometric identification with the date of Relief Commission Office. Those Displaced families who are registered outside the UT of Jammu Kashmir are also citizens of Jammu and Kashmir and have always been treated as such, G.L. Raina asserted. He expressed surprise over deletion of all such families from the website of Relief Organisation; when every department including Election Commission accepts them as part of Displace Community. Another issue of immense importance is the delay in making Sub- District Hospital (SDH) Jagati as fully functional. SDH Jagati was upgraded in 2019. While all those Hospitals which were upgraded at that time are working fully Jagati residents are being denied these facilities even after almost two years. Most importantly Operation Theatre (OT) and Labour Room (LR) of SDH Jagati are yet to be inaugurated due to some pending civil works by the Relief Organisation BJP Spokesperson asserted. Technicalities and lack of Co-ordination between different departments of the administration are denying people the facilities for which a lot of efforts and expenditure has gone in G.L. Raina asked the concerned authorities to look into these issues as a priority and take all the necessary measures. Extend SEHAT Scheme to leftout families
