1 held with heroin at Chanderkot

Ramban, Apr 6 Waging its war against drugs the Ramban Police has arrested one drug peddler at Chanderkot which was roaming in the area to deliver the consignment. According to reports patrolling party of Police Station Chanderkot led by PSI Ankush Bhau I/C Patrolling Party NHW Chanderkot found one person suspect roaming near New Makhan Dhaba. As the police party tried to reach him he started walking away and was subsequently chased and apprehended. During search the police party recovered heroin like substance from the possession of the suspect who was immediately taken into custody. The accused has disclosed his name as Imtyaz Ahmed son of Slam Din resident of Sundgali Tattarsoo Teh and Distt Ramban. In this connection a case FIR No 28/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered with Police Station Chanderkot and further investigation of case is in progress. The entire operation was conducted under the guidance and monitoring of SSP Ramban PD Nitya, Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SHO Chanderkot Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary. SSP Ramban has again appealed the people of Ramban to provide police with every bit of information available regarding sale and abuse of drugs in the district so that the drug menace can be uprooted to save the younger generation.
