Ashwani denounces terror activities in Kashmir targeting BJP leaders

Y B News Jammu, Apr 04 A meeting of BJP workers of Bishnah constituency was held here today under the chairmanship of former MLA and senior leader Ashwani Sharma. The meeting held threadbare discussion on various issues including empowering the Panchayat Raj institution on the ground. Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that it for the first time since independence that Pabchayati Raj institution in Jammu and Kashmir have been empowered fully and the power had been given to the people at grassroot level. "This three-tier system was never a preference for previous governments but since BJP has taken over under the leadership of Narendra Modi, people of this union territory have been given the biggest gift of Panchayat Raj institution. With the election to the third tier of this institution, district development council, power centre has shifted to the grassroot and decision of development lies with the elected representatives," he said. The BJP leader said that soon powers will be given to DDC members and they will be taking the call related to basic issues of the people. Commenting on the recent terror activities in Kashmir valley where BJP leaders and workers are being targetted, Sharma said, "This is the frustration of terrorists who have been hit hard by our security forces under operation all out and that is why they are choosing the soft targets. Time is not far away when Kashmir valley will get rid of these terrorists and peace will prevail." Thanking the government of India for sanctioning over 1 lakh crore budget for Jammu and Kashmir, he said that this will pave way for overall development of the Union territory and all sectors will get due share of funds. Commenting on the local issues of Bishnah Assembly constituency, former MLA said that the priority is to improve the road connectivity in th whole constituency and things are in order to achieve this. "We hope to get a degree college in Arnia soon and government of the day has been apprised of the demand which is going to fulfill in the near furure. We are also working to upgrade the existing primary health centre Arnia to subdistrict hospital so that people of this border belt will get the important over health facilities at their doorsteps. Similarly, a sports stadium is in offing for Bishnah constituency where youth will be able to nurture their talent and reach to the top," he said. Thanking prime minister Narendra Modi for giving people of border belt the actual line of control like status, Sharma said that things have been made easier which will help the youth of border belt. "Under Prime Minister Awas Yojna, housing for all is becoming a reality and all the deserving people are getting their due share so that they can also have their own houses. Poor people of Bishnah are also beneficiary of this scheme and more people who have been left out will be covered soon," he added. The BJP leader asked the party workers and leaders to gear up to strengthen the party at booth level so it will help them and people in near future.
