20 grams of heroin like substance recovered; 2 arrested

Kathua, Apr 4 Acting tough against drug peddlers,District police kathua today recovered heroin like substance and arrested two accused in the jd of PS Rajbagh. On specific information of District special Branch kathua,two persons were apprehended namely Abhi Sharma age about 20yrs S/O Ram Paul Sharma R/O parangoli Dayal chack and suresh kumar @Tinka age about 30yrs S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Ganyari A/P Dhaloti shiv mandir and approx. 20 gms of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession and also 02 motorcycles bearing regd. no. JK08C-7218 and PB08BE- 5220 were seized on spot. Accordingly a case FIR no.38/2021 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS act was lodged in PS Rajbagh and investigation was taken up. Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. We request people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 100 with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
