Our patience is running out; fulfill our demands at earliest: DAK

Srinagar, Apr 4 Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) in a communiqué said that it is high time that all genuine demands of Doctors of the state must be fulfilled and Government must abide by its order 340-HME Dated 01.06.2018 in which high level committee was framed to address the demands. Dr Suhail Naik, President DAK said that “the committee had to submit its report in one month time but more than 2 years have already elapsed and committee failed to submit its report. The doctors across the state have time and again protested peacefully without any strike as we don’t want our people to suffer for lack of health care services in strikes especially during Covid pandemic but authorities must not take this as our weakness”. Dr Owais H Dar, General Secretary DAK said that “ Doctors Association Kashmir has held more than 30 meetings in last 3 years with previous and Current Directors kf Health, Commisioner secretaries, Financial Commissioners apart from previous Cabinet ministers of Health and Finance Depts. Dr Arshed H Trag, joint Secretary further said that “all genuine demands of doctors of Jammu and Kashmir must be addressed at the earliest as peripheral health sector has been doing exceptionally well and our state has received lot of appreciation and awards from central Government.
