Y B News Jammu, Apr 02 Condemning militants' attack on BJP leader's house in Nowgam, in which a policeman was killed, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri said that such actions speak of frustration on the part of militants who are trying to establish their rule. He, however, lauded the policeand Indian Army for identifying militants and hunting them down in the shortest span. According to cops, militants were identified who carried out attack at the residence of BJP leader at Nowgam Srinagar, in which a policeman was killed and a rifle was snatched, Raman Suri said, adding that they were also eliminated. He said, BJP is committed to foil the nefarious designs of ultras and such incidents won't deter the cops from eliminating those involved. This is the reason why Union Government has given a free hand to security personnel for dealing with those trying to create trouble in Jammu and Kashmir He said, BJP's ultimate goal is to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir, generate employment, win over mass, give them a sense of security, engage young minds in productive activities, bring an order into the system, give good governance, establish three-tier system of governance and involve everyone into decision-making bodies. These agendas are not being digested by a few, who are trying to scare people with their nefarious designs of targeting selective people. Raman Suri said, people are fed up of violence and want to see J&K of yesteryears where peace, prosperity and development were visibly effective and world looked towards Jammu and Kashmir for leisure and tourism. A handful of disgruntled elements who, with their cowardice acts are trying to show they exist, have actually become irrelevant, he said, adding that the Indian army and other security agencies are capable enough to deal with such incidents and eliminate ultras completely. Striking at vulnerable places or attacking installations and running away establishes that militants are frustrated, scared and want to create terror. This tactic, he said, is not going to work against a system that is there to help people and wipe out militancy completely. Peace, he said, is the ultimate goal of Union Government as well as the UT administration, and every step is being initiated towards that only.
