New Delhi, Feb 24 BCCI president and former India captain Sourav Ganguly has lauded the effort to "create" the Motera Cricket Stadium, the largest in the world. Just hours ahead of the pinkball Test between India and England, Ganguly also admitted that he would miss being at the stadium on the day of inauguration of the revamped stadium. Further, Sourav Ganguly said that hosting pink-ball Tests was a dream for India and he would like to see the stands full, just how the stands of Eden Gardens were full when India hosted and played their first-ever pink ball Test against Bangladesh. The former opener also thanked PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their vision and leadership. "Will miss being at the stadium today ..what an effort it must have been to create this ..pink test was our dream and it's going be the 2nd one in india.hope to see full stands like last time. Under the leadership of Honble Prime minister @narendramodi Amit Shah @AmitShah," Ganguly tweeted. 50 per cent of the crowd capacity will be allowed on each day of the Test but that is good enough to expect 55,000 people in attendance as Motera boasts of a seating capacity of 1,10,000. "We're proud to have the biggest cricket stadium in the world. The infrastructure is very good and we're all really excited to play here,” Virat Kohli had said in his press conference on Tuesday. Crowd presence does make a big difference. We feel the pressure too when we play abroad. Hoping for good support in the coming Tests,” Kohli had added. Motera is the only stadium in the world with 11 centre pitches on the main ground. It also has 6 indoor pitches with bowling machines and 4 dressing rooms.
