District Athletic Championship concludes at SMVD

Himanshu Sharma Katra, Feb 23 SMVD Sports Complex athletes clinched 36 medals in both Track and Field events, and more than 90 athletes participated in district meet. Two days District Athletic Championship concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Sports Complex Katra which held under the Agis of J&K Amateur Athletic Association J&K UT in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra. The event was conducted under the chairmanship of District President Manu Partap Singh wazir along with his team thank Chief Executive Officer for proving Sports complex ground for the smooth conduct the competition he also thank Dr. Sunil Sharma Dy. CEO SMVDSB Katra for his kind concern And Rajesh Sharma Nodal Officer SMVD sports Complex for his efforts . He also welcomed Sh. Ramesh Sharma Retd. Athletics Coach from the J&K Athletic Association for the conduct of championship. Competition was held in the track and field event under-14, under-16, Under- 20 and in open category both boys and girls category. Final Result as follow U-14 Boys 600 mts: Ajay Kumar 1st, Gourav Roy 2nd, Divyam 3rd. 100 mts.- Gourav Roy Ist, Ajay Kumar 2nd, Karan Magotra 3rd.Girls 600mts: Sunekha Kumari Ist, Suhana Devi 2nd and Simran Thakur 3rd. U- 16 Girls :- 100 mts Sofia Bannu Ist, Meenakshi Thakur 2nd, Diya Khadgotra 3rd. U-16 Boys 800 mts . Yash pal Dogra ist , Sudershan Singh 2nd , Abhishek Lalhotra 3rd . U-16 Boys 100mts: Sunil Roy Ist, Ajay Sharma 2nd ,Arun Singh 3rd. 200mts : Sunil Roy Ist, Yash pal Dogra 2nd , Bishal Thakur 3rd, U-18 Boys 1500mts: Karnail singh Ist, Mohd. Rafiq 2nd and Akshay Sharma 3rd. U-18 BOYS 800 mts: Rajat Sanmothra Ist, Dilshan Singh 2ndand Sahil Singh 3rd .400 Mts vijay Kumar (R) Ist, Tarun Nargotra 2nd ,whereas Arun Sharma secured 3rd position. 100mts- Sorav Singh Ist , Vijay Kumar (R)2nd , and Vijay Kumar (K).100 mts . U-18 Girls 400mts : Tanvi Kholi Ist, Shivani Thakur 2nd ,and Suhana got 3rd place. 100mts : Tanvi Kholi Ist, Shivam Thakur 2nd , and Anjali Rajput 3rd . U- 20 Girls : 100mts Anuradha Sharma Ist , kajal sharma 2nd Sunnekha 3rd U-20 Boys : Pankaj Kumar Ist,karnail Singh 2nd ,Mohd. Rafiq was 3rd . Long jump U-14 Boys : Dheeraj Kotwal Ist , Gourav Roy 2nd , Manish 3rd. U-16 Boys : Sunil Roy Ist , Devinder Singh 2nd, Arun Singh 3rd U-18 Boys : Vijay Kumar (R) Ist, Dilshan 2nd ,Raj Mohd. Got 3rd position U-18 Girls : Kajal got Ist Postion where as Tanvi and sakshi shared 2nd position. The event is Officiated by Rishi Kumar , Coach SMVD Sports Complex under the supervision Of Ramesh Sharma .
