New Delhi, Feb 22 India's table tennis star Manika Batra has set her priorities right as she prepares for the Tokyo Olympics qualifying events in Doha. The Commonwealth Games champion is fresh from her success at the senior national championships held earlier this month but the 25- year-old is not looking too far ahead. Manika Batra didn't waste time returning to Pune to focus on training as she hurried back from Panchkula wherein she won the crown at the 82nd Senior National Table Tennis Championship. Manika attributed her success at the nationals to the training regime she had followed during the lockdown in India and she understands it's only going to get difficult from here when she reaches Doha to play her first international tournament since the pandemic. Manika will play in two WTT Contender events before the Asian and the World Olympic qualifiers in March in Doha. Despite having made it big at the highest level, Manika is not willing to burden herself with unrealistic expectations. While she is going to give her best to qualify for the Tokyo Games, which were postponed to 2021 in the wake of the pandemic, the Delhi paddler has set her sights on winning India a medal at the 2024 Games. "I will go to Doha for the Asian qualifier. Firstly, I have two WTT tournaments, I can improve my ranking there. That's my aim. After this long, I am playing an international.
