New Delhi, Feb 22 Delhi Police on Monday arrested another accused in connection with the violence at Red Fort during the Republic Day tractor rally by protesting farmers. The latest arrest comes nearly a week after Delhi Police nabbed Maninder Singh, the man allegedly seen swinging swords at Red Fort during the January 26 violence. Maninder Singh's arrest and subsequent interrogation led Delhi Police to Jaspreet Singh alias Sunny who was allegedly standing behind Maninder at Red Fort on January 26. Jaspreet Singh, 29, has been remanded to two days' police custody. Both Jaspreet Singh and Maninder Singh are residents of Delhi's Swaroop Nagar. Maninder Singh runs a sword training school near his home in Swaroop Nagar and works as a car AC mechanic. According to Delhi Police, Jaspreet Singh climbed up one of the tombs of Red Fort during the January 26 violence. "He is seen in offensive gesture holding steel tensile installed at Red Fort," police said. Over 120 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence across Delhi on January 26. Clashes broke out between protesters and police during the tractor parade called by farmer.
