Renuka appeals people to participate in Gram Sabha

Akash Singh Ramban, Jan 15 DDC member Renuka Katoch today appealed the public to participate in the Gram Sabha and other related events to formulate effective development plans for their respective areas besides achieving desired results from various social as well as financial assistance schemes especially devised by the government for the development of rural areas, upliftment of women, children and weaker as well as socially backward classes. It was stated by Renuka Katoch while addressing a gathering during Gram Sabha held at Govindpura Maitra here today. Speaking on the occasion she expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narindra Modi for implementing Forest Right Act 2006 in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir under which Scheduled Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwellers would be benefited at large. She stressed upon the PRI members to work in coordination with each other to ensure development of rural areas besides strengthening the democracy at grassroots level by implementing 3 tiers Panchyati Raj system effectively. The eligible claimants can apply for claims on Form- A, B & C with the Forest Right Committees (FRCs) constituted in each Panchyat. The forms can be collected from the office of SDMs, BDOs, Range Officers and other designated Revenue, Forest & Rural Development officials, she added.
