Indian Federalism in acute danger: AAP Jammu

Y B News Jammu, Jan 15 The Aam Aadmi Party Jammu held a peaceful protest at Miran Sahib, Jammu in token of its solidarity towards protesting farmers on the boundaries of NCR Delhi against uncalled enactment of farmers bill which is grossly against the interests of crores of farmers across the Nation & is directly or indirectly, overtly or covertly fruitful to the big business houses, friendly to the ruling dispensation particularly Narinder Modi & his cabinet colleagues. This was stated by AAP leaders while addressing the gathering the protest on spot. They termed the attitude of Modi-the PM as most inhuman & barbaric who has not uttered a single word of remorse on the death of about 70 innocent peacefully agitating farmers sitting under the sky in this hostile chilling atmosphere of rains for last about 49 days. The AAP leaders further said that instead of holding talks with the agitating farmer leaders on regular dates & terms, they are being embarrassed & harassed by giving dates after dates and putting same queries again & again, they said and added farmers have been exploited over the years by successive governments including the present dispensation under PM Modi. They wondered as to how farmers cannot invoke their fundamental rights enshrined by constitution of India, as under these three black laws farmers have been banned to seek justice in the Court of law beyond sub Divisional Magistrate? Further, lauding the judgment of Apex court staying implementation of the three laws in question, the AAP leaders said that for the first time in the history of free India, the Apex Court, showing humane face, has stayed laws enacted by Parliament. These laws being state subject, have infringed the jurisdiction of States, have direct bearing on our federal system and have been enacted by bulldozing on the strength of brute majority and hence posing great danger to our federal system- being the greatest democracy of the world, they maintained. Om Parkash Khajuria, AAP Convenor Jammu Division, who organized the protest, while addressing the audience said that the only alternative left with countrymen is to adopt 4- point developmental formula on Delhi Pattern i.e Quality Health care in Government Hospital, Quality education in government Schools, 200 units free power supply & 20,000 litres potable water per month to every house hold without caste, creed & colour to give a death blow to the casteism, region & religion cards being played by spent forces of various tested political Parties, they claimed Prominent among those who joined the protest & spoke include Om Parkash Khajuria, Farooq Ahmed Banday, Ram Singh Chauhan, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Amit Langer, Parmveer Singh, Rampal Khajuria, Raj Kumar Nichal, Harnak Singh, Kuldeep Bhagat, Daleep Chaudhary, Atul Raina, Sunny Dogra, S. Dalpreet Singh, Altaf Shah, Mohd Aslam Kohli and others.
