Hit and run case solved within 24 hrs, 1 held

Jammu, Jan 15 An information was received at Police Station Bus stand from reliable sources that one pedestrian namely Shukantla sharma R/o Bhawani nagar Janipur was hit by a motorcycle bearing registration number Jk02AP 1067 from behind. The rider fled away from spot along with vehicle. On the information, a case FIR No. 03/21 U/s 279/337 IPC got registered at P/S Bus stand. On this special police teams of P/S Bus stand were constituted. The team led by SHO P/S Bus stand Insp. J J Bhagat after hectic efforts arrested the accused rider of the vehicle namely Rajat kumar R/o Sikanderpur Bishnah. On his disclosure, vehicle bearing registration number Jk02AP 1067 was also recovered and seized. Further investigation of the case is going on.
