1 drug peddler held, Codeine Phosphate, banned tablets recovered

Sopore, Jan 15 One more drug peddler arrested by Sopore Police in case FIR No. 09/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act, dated 11 January 2021 Police Station Dangiwacha. During the course of investigation of the case arrested drug peddler Qaiser Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Hassan Dar R/O Ladoora Rafiabad reveled that Imitiyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Mohammad Yousuf Mir R/O Ladoora Rafiabad is also involved in drug peddling in the area, accordingly he was arrested and 12 bottles of Codeine Phosphate and 08 strips of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus were recovered from his possession. Investigation of the case is still going on. Once again community members are requested to come forward with proper information against drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
