5th Armed Forces Veterans Day celebrated

Himanshu Sharma Katra, Jan 14 Crossed Swords Division under the aegis of the White Knight Corps celebrated the 5th Veterans Day to honour the innumerable sacrifices of Veterans of the Indian Army at Army camp Katra. The Army veterans of Panthal and Katra block attended the function and came across valuable information about Various schemes and initiatives launched by Govt. Of India and how to avail maximum benefits from such schemes. In total, 60 Army veterans attended the function where a full body health checkup facility was also established for them. The veterans were glad to come across various schemes regarding schools, colleges, hospitals, jobs etc. Through the platform, veteran's queries were satisfied and their grievances were noted. The oldest Army veteran Ex. Subedar Gangaram hailing from Akhli Buttan was also honoured at the ceremony. The veterans praised the event as such events give them chance to interact with each other. The veterans thanked the government and Indian Army for organising such knowledge based and interactive events for retired Army officers...
