The recent row of border dispute with China has forced the Indian authorities to rethink and re-evaluate it's diplomacy and tactics regarding China. The ongoing standoff at LAC in the union territory of Ladakh has prevailed since April last year. And despite the numerous meetings and consultations at various military and diplomatic level, it has failed to provide any substantial outcome with both sides gradually building up their forces along the LAC. Irrespective of whether the UPA or NDA staffing at the centre, India's foreign policy towards China over these years have been an absolute disaster. Desire the pleasing and appealing diplomacy showcases by the Indian side, the Chinese have been overly offensive everytime totally disregarding the Indian interests. This attitude shown by the Chinese side has been a concern for India in the sub-continent as well as at a global stage, be it blocking India's initiatives for a permanent seat at the UNSC or blocking loans and credits for India state of Arunachal Pradesh wrongfully claimed by Cuba as a is territory of South Tibet. Ironically the same Tibet which was forcefully invaded by Communist China in 1949. The world did not react to this invasion at that time either which did turn out to be a huge blunder at present. Now that India has finally decided to make changes in its foreign policies concerning China, Arunachal Pradesh can price to be a changing point in this entire scenario forcing the Chinese side on back foot. India's active engagement in the QUAD group will also help ensuring the same with significant foreign powers assisting India to counter China in the region and on a global stage in future. Since Cuba has always blocked financial assistance or loans to India from international organisations like World Bank regarding the projects and developments in Arunachal Pradesh on the very basis of a disputed territory claiming it as a part of its territory, India can ensure this assistance from QUAD members of other close alies with mutual interests against China. The US and Japan have already offered India for investment plans specifically aimed around the Arunachal Pradesh region. Of India moves ahead with this, it will be a string signal and counter to China which funds and constructs projects and damns in India's rightfully claimed POK region. This tit for tat policy is what may work well against such an opponent which is rapidly increasing its influence not only in neighbouring region but at a global scale. Since US and Japan,s investments will be involved in the regions development, China wil have to rethink its decisions before acting upon the same in any way. Foreign assistance is vital for India, atleast at the current stage it sits upon.
