Army organises religious harmony meet

Udhampur, Jan 13 The Army organised a Religious Harmony Meet at Barakh village. The overall population of the general area Barakh and nearby villages consist of a significant mixture of people from all religions. In a bid to foster and reinforce brotherhood, harmony and national integration for strengthening the bond between people of all communities, a Religious Harmony Meet was organised. Army maintains cordial relations with Awam of these areas & helping the locals with medicines on various occasions. The Sarpanches of these remote villages requested Army for a Religious Harmony Meet, so that a kind message of love and affection between different religions can be conveyed in true sense to the locals. In this meeting, religious leaders of all communities gathered to celebrate spirit of religious harmony and brotherhood as citizens of this nation. Also, religious harmony is crucial in maintaining political and national stability and living in a peaceful and harmonious environment is important when the society consists of diverse races and religious adherents. In this meeting, an overwhelming participation of the locals was seen and many young students showed their unique talents like songs, acting and speech on importance of Religious Harmony. Students and locals thanked and expressed their profound gratitude towards the Army for organising the meet & taking this noble initiative for locals which will create a positive atmosphere between the Army and the locals.
