Army conducts medical camp

Patnitop, Jan 13 Under the aegis of Sadbhavana, a Medical Camp was conducted by Indian Army at Patnitop (Rakhjharog) to provide basic medical facilities to the poor and under privileged residents of the remote region of Ramban district (J&K). A total of 369 patients (157 x Male, 130 x Female,82 x Children) were provided with medical care. A medical team led by Medical Officer from Army and 02 x Nursing Assistants alongwith a Civil Doctor, Mr AdhilIrshad from CHC, Batote conducted the medical camp. Majority population catered to was of age group 50 and above wth spectrum of ailments such as polyarthalgia, deworming, cold and cough, skin infections, leucorrhea, cataract related diminished vision, urinary tract infection, Bronchial Asthma and URTI. In addition to this symptomatic treatment was provided by Army MO to brother of Sep Mohd Din Lone (Retd) of 3 JAK LI at his home who could not attend the medical camp. Alongwith the provision of routine outpatient care and medicines, awareness was also spread towards adaptation of good hygiene and sanitary practice amongst the populace for mitigating spread of COVID-19.The humanitarian approach of Indian Army was appreciated and AWAM expressed their gratitude towards the noble gesture.
