Army celebrates National Youth Day

Jammu, Jan 12 The National Youth Day is observed every year to honour the ideals and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and to showcase how the engagement of young generation in formal social mechanism has the potential to enhance the positive changes in the region. It is celebrated to throw light on the participation of youngsters, which carries the potential to form better & peaceful Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. On the occasion, Indian Army organised a variety of activities to include motivational lectures, mini, youth meeting and games at village Kuniyan and Sethena. Total of 100 youths attended the events. The participants displayed great enthusiasm and vigor while thoroughly attending the functions. The youth and local populace applauded the efforts of the Army in organising such activities which generated feeling of goodwill amongst the civil population, especially the youth.
